Victorian Literature in London

IMG_0765Victorian Literature in London is a 5-week study abroad program with Ohio University during the first summer session. In 2014, we were based in central London and the curriculum was Charles Dickens’s Our Mutual Friend with various excursions in London to  help illuminate the novel and Victorian culture (museums, streets, squares, etc.) Students receive credit for two courses, one literature and one writing. The TA who attends also has the opportunity to research at the various libraries available in London and surrounding cities. While I was in London, I was able to visit the British Library, Wellcome Library, Cambridge Univ Library and Oxford Univ Library to examine nineteenth-century nursing manuals. For more information on my research, visit my research page.
